Seasonal Produce
From crisp spring greens to hearty autumn root vegetables, our fields produce a rotating selection of vegetables at their peak — never forced, never rushed, always flavorful.
For generations, our family has tended the land along the James River with patience, craft, and an unwavering commitment to quality that you can taste in every harvest.
Schwarz Family Farm isn't just a place — it's a promise. A promise to the soil, to our community, and to every family that chooses to put our harvest on their table.
Nestled along the banks of the South James River in Wingina, Virginia, our farm has been a living, breathing part of this landscape for three generations. What began as a small plot tended by hand has grown — slowly, deliberately — into the thriving operation you see today.
We don't rush the land. We listen to it. Each season brings different challenges and different rewards, and we meet them with the same tools our grandparents used: patience, observation, and a deep respect for the natural rhythms that govern everything we grow.
Every item we sell has been grown, raised, or harvested on our own land — with the same care we'd give our own family's meals.
From crisp spring greens to hearty autumn root vegetables, our fields produce a rotating selection of vegetables at their peak — never forced, never rushed, always flavorful.
Our hens roam freely across open pastures, foraging and scratching to their heart's content. The result is eggs with rich, golden yolks and deeply satisfying flavor.
Seasonal fruits from our orchard and berry patches — apples, peaches, grapes, and more — picked at perfect ripeness and sold the same day.
Fresh herb bundles, specialty greens, and seasonal specialties that bring depth and character to any kitchen. Ask about what's currently in season.
Not sure what's in season? Call us or stop by — we're always happy to let you know what's fresh this week.
Call (804) 443-7594Farming is a practice in patience and timing. Here's what each season brings to our fields and to your table.
Tender greens, early radishes, and the first sweet peas of the year. The soil wakes up and so do we.
Sun-ripened tomatoes, sweet corn, and berries that taste like summer should. The farm is at its fullest.
Hearty root vegetables, crisp apples, and the last glorious harvest before the land rests for winter.
The farm sleeps, but we prepare. Planning next season's crops, tending equipment, and preserving the best of autumn.
We'd love to welcome you to our farm stand. Walk in, browse the harvest, and taste the difference that real farm-grown makes.
